CAPS is the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement — the national curriculum every South African school follows. Material that is CAPS-aligned covers the same content, in the same order, as your child’s classroom. Imported worksheets often do not, which is why a "Grade 4 maths" pack from overseas can be a year off.
Grade R through Grade 9 — the Foundation, Intermediate and Senior Phases. That covers the years where parent support at home makes the biggest difference.
Start at the level they are working at comfortably, not the grade on their report. Working slightly below grade level for a few weeks to rebuild confidence beats grinding through material that is out of reach. Get in touch and we will help you pick a starting point.
